Last year my husband and I got pregnant and were happy to learn we were having a girl. At 16 weeks we learned that she likely had Trisomy 18. For other medical reasons, I didn't want to have an amino to confirm, so we had to wait until week 19 to confirm via anatomy ultrasound. Her abnormalities were severe. To save her later pain, we decided to end the pregnancy. We chose to induce, so we could hold her and say goodbye. By the time we got the appointment for the procedure, she was 21 weeks along. While i miss Sophia, I don't regret the decision. I wrote an article about it here. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/kimberly-cates-escamilla/war-on-women_b_1415391.html
