12/18/2008 Carnival cruise bruise
I too faced a disaster when going on a Carnival Cruise out of Galveston. My cruise bruise paled in comparision to this disaster but what is so similiar is Carinval does not know how to deal with any suprise/accident/disaster. We were delayed due to fog and Carnival forced some people in the Galveston terminal to wait for 14 hours with no food or water, the toilets backed up, it was over 100 degrees and we had no idea the delayed would result in us missing our destination as they failed to tell us that, gee I wonder why?. When we arrived at the terminal a carnival employee was so upset the 1st words from her mouth was to tell us to write a letter to corporate. They failed to advise us we could get refunds otherwise we would have demanded to leave and do something else for this time. Carnival has only their interest at heart as everyone on our cruise found out. I spent 3 thousand dollars and got nothing extra for my money like was advertized. We just felt lucky to get home safely. never again!!! Oh and Carnival never answered my letters sent certified mail!
