Today I had to pay a bill and while I was online getting the bill to print out I came across an option to pay online directly from my bank account. So that is exactly what I did. Saving me from printing out statement, printing out an envelope and using a stamp to have the USPS deliver it from me to them. For many folks that is how they pay most bills. Now I have one check a month to write, for my mortgage. Everything else is done by direct pay from my checking account or when I transfer the funds online. Ten years ago I sat down at the end of the month and wrote out 17 checks , used 17 stamps and mailed 17 bills. Now its one on a regular monthly basis. Just one
