Violent Threats and Hate Messages Helped My Faith In God

My name is Byron Thomas and America; I had always been a religious person. I was baptized when I was little and I always knew God was real and that Jesus died for my sins. I wasn’t the closest to my faith in God until my Confederate flag situation happened. I got so much violent threats and hate stuff that I didn’t think I was going to live much longer. It got so bad that I went over funeral plans with my mom. My mom just told me to pray that God keeps his armor of protection around me every day. So I did that and I can truly say that no one has ever touched me. I’ve heard of other black people who have gotten beat up for having a Confederate flag but I was never touched. It truly showed me that God has a bigger plan for my life and that he’s not finished with me yet. With the way I’m not afraid to voice my opinion, I’m thankful that God has heavily protected me. His love just never fails. Kill People with Kindness and May God Bless America.
