Reflective Sunset-Pine Glades
The scenery and climate in Miami and the Everglades took me back to India and Kerala in particular. The lush green landscape was flat and marked with an abundance of coconut and palm trees befitting an ethereal Kerala landscape. I reached Pine glades lake after finishing a couple of trails in Everglades National Park. The Sun was almost setting and compared to images of sunsets in the area I had scouted, it was a complete let down. I took a few shots and waited till Sun down when the colors started becoming more vibrant. (Another learning lesson in patience and shooting sunsets!) I had the whole lake to myself for a while and little did I know that that was not to last too long 10mins later I had to take cover in my car, chased madly by the barge of mosquitoes that had invaded the lake but not before my blood became a part of the Everglades ecosystem.
