    Travel snapshots: The best beaches

    Kiholo Beach, Kona

We often come to Kiholo Beach in the evening. The jeep makes it through the coarse sand and we park and watch whales by the hour. No four wheel drive, no go.

But well worth the tough drive in. About one hour north of Kailua-Kona.
Come to think of it, my wife and I have visited almost every Beach in the Hawaiian Islands except those remote and inaccessible beaches on Lanai and Molokai.
Oh well, we still have some time left. Tomorrow? 100, 1000? It's not for us to know. That's why the earth's surface is curved. So we can't see too far ahead to where we'll wind up. And maybe that's best.
