    Human skull found under Bridge

What started as a hog hunting trip with the guys soon turned into something much more serious, after Anthony Nelson and his buddies walked up on a human skull Saturday afternoon."It wasn't what we was hunting, but I'm kind of glad we found it," said Nelson in an exclusive interview with News 5. "Maybe it will bring some kind of closure to the family."The skull, which appears to have a bullet hole in the forehead, was discovered in the wooded area under the north side of the General WK Wilson Bridge, more commonly referred to as the Dolly Parton Bridge."It was right off the Interstate bridge," said Nelson. "It looked like somebody may have thrown it right off the bridge."

Judging from the pictures the hunters took, it looks like something you'd use to decorate your front yard for Halloween. But Baldwin County Sheriffs Officials tell News 5 the bones are very much the real thing.

Alabama Marine Police and the Coroner's Office also assisted in the investigation."Different than anything any of us has ever seen," said Nelson. "We've never come up on nothing like that." The bones have already been transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for further review. Investigators say they recovered more than just the skull at the location.
