    Bayside's NYBBC Holds Award Ceremony and Taekwondo School Opening Celebration

    Article/Photos by John Scandalios - Feb 16, 2013 - Bayside, N.Y. - The New York Black Belt Center (NYBBC) of Bayside, N.Y. held an award ceremony and school opening celebration featuring demonstration by Master Joseph Lupo Jr. and his Team Wolfpack to celebrate the life of deceased, Grandmaster Joseph Lupo Sr.

    The festivities including spectacular wood and brick breaking demonstrations, delighting a crowd numbering over 200.

    Honored guests included Grandmaster Moon Sung Lee (9th Dan Black Belt), Jerry Iannece (Community Board 11 Chairman), Michael Feiner (President Bayside Hills Civic Association), Master Charles K. Lee (6th Dan Black Belt), Dr. John Halkias, Giuseppe Sciuto (3rd Dan Black Belt) and Master Frank Taormina.

    The NYBBC presented awards of appreciation to Grandmaster Moon Sung Lee, Master Frank Taormina and Paul Galletta. Master Joseph Lupo Jr emotionally thanked his first cousin, Galletta, for being the person who constructed the NYBBC Bayside school.
