Chicagostan – The Deliberate Extermination of Women of Color

“Neither Beirut nor the West Bank have this level of combat violence although they have to always be on guard for militants and Muslim extremist. What is these folks excuse in Chicagostan?” ~ L.S.

The following are statistics from the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. Murder is murder. There is no justification for murder. The number comparison of Palestinian deaths to those in Chicago is alarming.

At least 46 Palestinians have been killed since 2005 by live ammunition fired by soldiers at stone-throwers, says its report, Israel's Use of Crowd Control Weapons in the West Bank. The most common crowd control weapons are tear gas, rubber-coated bullets, stun grenades and "skunk" – the use of foul-smelling liquid in water cannon.

In seven years, 46 Palestinians have been killed. Forty people in Chicago have been killed in less than 60 days into the New Year. The most disturbing fact is young women of color have been killed and reportedly were not the intended targets. Let’s be very clear—bullets do not discriminate. Additionally, these criminal murderers could care less about gun control. That’s why they are called criminals and murderers.

Within hours of President Obama giving his fun control speech, 18-year-old Janay Mcfarlane was murdered. Her little sister sat on the stage behind President Barack Obama at Hyde Park Career Academy, listening to him push for gun control legislation. Just like the murder of Hidaya Pendleton, Janay’s murder was supposedly mistaken identity. Make no mistake about this—bullets DO NOT DISCRIMINATE once they leave the chamber.

Last Friday brought another tragedy to the doorsteps of the Obama Administration. Frances Colon was murdered while hanging out with friends at a local park. She is the fourth student from her school to be murdered. What does these solemn statistics say about Chicago?

Women of color and their daughters who live in Chicago are at great risk of being murdered. It’s time for them to flee the Chicago bone yard. Several Black women have shared their concerns. This is what they had to say:

“BW need to make a mass exodus from Chicago. It ain't that bad in Memphis. Wow.... And this is just February. I don't want to even think about summertime. And if this is any indication of what's to come, I'm scared to death!” ~ V.M.

“I have two friends that live(d) near Chicago. One just moved to Silver Springs MD for her job. The other one I think lives in Aurora. The best route (over an hour) from her home to her job is through Chicago. She mentioned that when she leaves work to go home she makes sure she heads to the bathroom before she leaves work so she will not have to stop in Chicago. I will never forget that conversation the longest day I live.” ~ P.D.

President Obama cannot legislate morality. President Obama cannot legislate morals. President Obama CANNOT keep guns out of the hands of criminals. The major question to ask everyone is this: When did a criminal obey the law? Isn’t that an oxymoronic question? Think about it.
