This iReport is part of an assignment:
Justice for Kylynn
On Nov. 10, 2011 in Shelbyville, Tn an almost 10 month old baby girl named Kylynn Sturgeon was killed. Autopsy confirms cause of death Blunt force trauma of head. Manner of death HOMICIDE. The last three people to see Kylynn alive was her mother, the mothers boyfriend, and the boyfriends mother. I was told that the boyfriend put her in her crib. Then the mother and the boyfriend left Kylynn with the boyfriends mom. While they went to the ER because the mother wasn't feeling good. Within a hour or so the mother recieved a text stating not to leave the hospital because Kylynn was coming and was not breathing. The boyfriends mom says she found Kylynn in her crib not breathing. She did not dial 911 instead she ran around the trailer park to several different trailers. While carrying Kylynn's lifeless body. This woman used to be a CNA. But never attempted CPR. Eventually she took Kylynn to the fire dept across the street. They did CPR till the ambulance arrived. Kylynn was pronouced dead. There was bruising on her forhead, a scratch on her nose, and an abrasion on her back. From which they say Kylynn fell a few days before. Police did question them even gave the boyfriend a lie detector test. Which he failed. Not alot is known about the case. Since nothing was ever in the paper except her obituary. No arrests have been made. I started a facebook page called Justice for Kylynn in Nov of 2012. To try and help the family get her justice. And since several of Nashville's local stations have covered her story. Something about this does not sit well with me. The boyfriend is currently in jail in Rutherford County on unrealated charges. His mother has went on Kylynns page be disrespectful and vulgar. Kylynn's mom, whom was still with the boyfriend up until he went to jail, is just now seeking justice for her. One of these three people took this sweet baby's life! I am close to this family. I watch as Kylynn's grandmother and aunts hurt and grieve. This little girl deseves JUSTICE! And the family needs closure! What happened to Kylynn?? Please Nancy we need your help! The Shelbyville police dept says they are still investigating. But it has been 15 months.....
