CNN PRODUCER NOTE Douglas Mogle shared a photo of himself when he was eleven, wearing his favorite t-shirt, a Notre Dame Baseball jersey that he got at a summer baseball camp years ago. He says the t-shirt reminds him of many things like his youth, his love of baseball, and his experience at camp. 'Twenty-one years later I still have the tee tucked away somewhere safe.' He says the reason why people hold on to t-shirts even after they are worn down is because of the nostalgic purpose they serve. 'T-shirts almost serve as the tattoo of the clothing world. They represent a person's life. Where they've been, what they've done, what they enjoy,' he said. 'They may sit at the bottom of a drawer for months or years, but their importance can be quickly identified the moment they are pulled out.'
