Blizzard Jig
Blizzard Jig
By Jannet Walsh
There’s another blizzard in Minnesota. The wind is blowing the snow, temperature is currently 3F( -16C), but could drop to -9F(-22C) and wind chill values around -33F(-36C). In other words, I can’t go outside.
I have been trying to learn traditional Irish dance called Sean Nos Irish dance, or old style. I’ve been watching DVDs and YouTube videos. Today was the perfect day to practice due to the latest blizzard in Minnesota, and across the Northern Plains and Upper Midwest.
I am wearing dance sneakers to protect floor, but normally hard shoes are worn to hear battering of the feet.
