    LIMUN 2013 is shaping the future of the UN

     
    The London International Model United Nations (LIMUN) is been running in the City since 2000. Today, this event has expanded to become a big, well-known conference that it hosts 50 chairs from around the world who transmit the feeling of wanting to continue this because, as the chair of charity, Sandeep Rajgopal, explains, “when you start in LIMUN, you fall in love with it”.

    With more than 25 committes and three different languages (English, Spanish and French), LIMUN 2013 conferences focused on the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs), findinf out solutions for the current global problems.

    The 1500 members that joined the debates, bettween delegates, chairs, trustees, press team and the Secretariat team discussed problems as the European debt crisis, women´s rights in the Arab countries or the drug debate on Latin America. The conferences took place at the Imperial collegue in London last weekend (15th-17th of Feb, 2013).

    The general impression and feeling was about to shape a better future for all the nations, recreating the United Nations system and getting experience on how to became the future ambassadors or politicians.

    The United Nations Model is a great experience for all students who want to learn how to be a good delegates and representatives of every nation, and to teach the real members of the UN that there are solutions to tackle the obstacles the world is facing nowadays.
