The Cowboys & Gangsters are coming to town! This cool dance floor disco hit is the inspiration for the Ron Rogers (Deputy Of Love, A Night In New York) show scheduled for late spring. Written and produced for Island Records by Rogers. Island Records president Chris Blackwell distributed Rogers thru a publishing and recording agreement licensed for the world thru Michael Zilkha at Ze Records. Discography Ze Records, home of Kid Creole and The Coconuts. is where Rogers and August Darnell (Kid Creole) and Coati Mundi, co leader and founder of Kid Creole and The Coconuts created several dance hits including Deputy Of Love, written by Rogers, number one world wide, and several Kid Creole and The Coconuts hits including Gina Gina by Rogers & Darnell, and I Am written by Coati Mundi. The three have often been referred to as the Ze Dream Team.
