Projonmo Chottor _ Shahbagh is our world now ! (IV)

Bangladesh on the 5th of February 2013 saw the biggest gathering in recent memory as tens of thousands thronged the capital's Shahbagh intersection to call for death penalty for the war criminals, including Abdul Quader Mollah, of 1971. Men and women, boys and girls, young and old -- tens of thousands of them -- from all walks of life filled the few square kilometers area to the brim. People also vowed to boycott all businesses, banks, media outlets and social and cultural organizations owned by Jamaat leaders.
Hundreds of outraged students, activists and ordinary citizens had blocked the Shahbagh intersection in the evening in a spontaneous reaction to the court's decision to award Mollah life imprisonment instead of capital punishment.
Bloggers and Activist Network led by Imran H Sarker initiated the protest by organizing a human chain in front of the National Museum. As hundreds of people poured in to join the protest, they decided to block the intersection.
Today on the 12th day in protest for the killing of blogger Ahmed Rajib Haidar I decided to upload my photographs titled ‘ What are the YOU thinking – Now? ‘ of the past few days and will continue. For me it is not always the present situation but the situations that need to address as well.
