We The People petition want more funding on asteroid impact avoidance systems

This petition, titled "Increase funding on NASA's spaceguard related program and help them to realize their proposals to deflect an asteroid" , is yearning for more funding for these systems for our safer future . This petition also points out the 2013 Russian meteor event had served as our wake up call to wary of the dangers posed by an asteroid impact. The full text of the petition is below:

The 2013 Russian meteor event has served as a wake up call for us to aware the threats posed by an asteroid impact. The United Nations has now began reviewing the dangers from an asteroid impact, which, in most serious case, can cause another Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event, which could put an end to the humanity as we know it.Therefore, we strongly urge President Obama to increase funding on NASA's spaceguard related program and help them to realize their proposals to deflect an asteroid, including but not limited to assist them to get materials needed to realize their noble goal.
