    Serial Killer Becomes Famous

In the good ole days, long before instant news, you tube and a hundred other video posting websites, Serial Killers got printed in paper once, maybe twice. Now they fill news cycles long after their actions. Media makes these mass murderers famous.

The Newtown shooter is the biggest one now because he sparked a national debate on gun violence. The families of these innocent children are left to pick up the pieces, but every time they turn on the news, there this guy is in their face again, and again. No matter where they look there this mass murderer's face defiles televisions and computers.

Personally I won't say his name, and I don't think anyone else should ever speak his name again, or show his picture on the internet or the television. No mass murderer who has been captured or killed should get more than a mention. No big stories or follow ups. I mean don't even put their picture in the papers unless police need someone to help identify or hunt for the murderer.

The Newtown shooter wanted to beat another serial killer's record. He wanted to become famous, and he has, all be it not for breaking the record, but for his targets.

There is something wrong with society when people would rather see a mass murderer on every news cycle than they had see a firefighter rescuing someone. Something has to change, and I say it is here and now where we draw the line in the sand.

I say no more fame for mass murderers. No more days or weeks in the news cycles. If you take away their fame they have no reason to do it. This is a measure which could save lives.
