Benefit Walk for South Carolina Homeless

In April, I am planning the first of several solo walks to benefit the homeless of South Carolina. I want to make it clear that I am not asking for money or financial assistance from your organization. I am looking for a group or ministry to align myself with. I have approached some homeless outreach ministries about aligning with them to help their efforts. Before I moved to Murrells Inlet, I was in Student Life at the University of South Carolina Sumter. I was also Baptist Collegiate Ministry adviser there, as well. I have served as a part-time youth ministry for several years in Sumter. While in Sumter, I had the opportunity to serve the homeless, but on a very limited basis. I had no idea of the degree of homelessness in this area. I feel that God is compelling me to do something to serve. Below is a "thumbnail" description of what I am planning. I have also attached several pictures of a "trailer" that my father is helping me build. I plan to use the trailer to haul camping gear, literature and give away items. I am currently a salesman for a custom sign shop in Myrtle Beach, Sign World (www.signworldonline.com), as well as being a free lance Group building facilitator (www.letmebefrankwithyou.yolasite.com). We have been blessed with the opportunity to serve some of the homeless in Myrtle Beach by providing clothes, food and other essentials. We are approached often by people who have nothing and we try to help them with their needs.
My sincere hope and prayer is that when people see me walk down Highway 17, that they will stop and ask...WHY? I am not doing this to raise money for me, I just feel compelled to serve (Matthew 25:40, Romans10:14-15). If all goes according to my plans, I will walk in every county until I have covered the state. This is NOT about ME!
