    Illuminating Scientific Specimens

    I recently began working for the Florida FWC Fish and Wildlife Research Institute, which houses an extensive marine specimen collection. My curiosity got the best of me and I started exploring the collection and photographing specimens during my lunch break, using LED lights to illuminate them from behind. These specimens are very important to marine research efforts, but they can also make stunning photo subjects.
