    $4,000 strep throat

    My husband went to the clinic because he was sick. They sent us to the ER. His quick swab strep test came back negative, so they ran every test under the sun including one for West Nile disease (we live in Wisconsin and it was winter) and a spinal tap for meningitis. Hours later, we left with a strep diagnosis. Weeks later, we received a bill for roughly $4,000.
