    Outrageous Ambulance Costs

I had to be taken to the hospital from my home. The total mileage is 1.8 miles. Less then Two miles. The bill from Schaffer Ambulance was $1,495 dollars. The only time you should use an Ambulance is if you need to get into the ER immediatly and not wait. The costs are absurd. I need to get a fleet of my own and go into this business. It is insane! The side of the Ambulance should also say 'owned by Brinks'.........They have you hostage and there is no regulation on this.
