    Snow storm update

     

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     SamIngle told me, ' A friend was stuck attempted to go get some food and stated there were tons of cars stuck on the roads. There were also many cars pulled up on the sides of highway 435 and Interstate I-35. many of the local roads have been closed. In the business district of the town, many businesses are closing and people are checking into nearby hotels to stay the night.'

    Its 1500 hrs and snow has stopped coming down. People are out shoveling snow and trying to clean their driveways. According to the weather channel there will be additional snow fall throughout the evening and into early morning tomorrow. The next snow showers are supposed start around 1900 hrs. Traffic in the neighborhood is still at minimum.
    One of our neighbors tried to get out of his drive way but was not able to do it due to enormous amount of snow on the ground. His car went approximately 10 feet and got stuck. He made a wise choice to pull up back in the driveway and not to go anywhere but back to the warmth and coziness of his house. Here are few more shots of what it looks like outside at this time:
