Google Eyed Garbage
How powerful can one corporation become? Well, you don't have to do an internet search to see what is happening with Google. Already they are on the path to world domination in nearly every aspect of your life. The pace is increasing at an exponential rate that most people actually embrace.
Google Glass is the latest attempt to mainline commercials directly into the users eyes. Sure they don't show that aspect in the prototype hype. However, it won't be long after you plop down your $1500.00 for "the next big thing" before you start getting Spammed at extremely close range. After all, how do you think Google took over the world in the first place? Advertisements and selling your search history and internet patterns to corporations. Now they will be able to track everything your eyes see. This is pure gold for market research. So, are we willing to pay big bucks for the privilege of being tracked by such a powerful private entity?
My guess is yes. People will fight each other to wear the "Big Brother Goggles". The singularity is near.
