Surge of boulder-sized snow chunks falls from building

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     AmandaJL25 told me that the 'building shook' as this started to happen, and a few people in her office thought it could be an earthquake. A few chunks of snow fell from the roof of the building, which I work in, and I tried to capture just one or two of them on camera, but the onslaught came just as I started recording. It was a thunderous roar and was pretty alarming as I had just walked across the sidewalk where it all fell.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

I was leaving my office building after being warned by a coworker to avoid small chunks of snow he'd witnessed falling from the roof. After seeing a few of the smaller ones tumble down, I thought I'd try to capture a few of them on video. Instead, this "avalanche" happened.
