    Thunder-Snow in Kansas

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     KsCattails told me, 'These photos were taken Thursday Feb 21st about 10:30 AM when the snow was still coming down at a rate of about 3 inches per hour. The snow started here about 7:00 AM. so you can see how fast it piled up. It was quite dark out and we heard thunder earlier in the morning when it was coming down the hardest.'

    These photos were taken at 10:30 AM on Thursday February 22, 2013 when the snow was still falling at the rate of 3 inches per hour. It started snowing heavily here around 7:00 AM so you can see how fast the snow piled up. The sky was quite dark and during the heaviest snowfall we actually heard thunder.
