    Terrorism in Maldives.

Just a day after former president Maumoon Abdul Qayyom’s party , PPM parliamentary member called Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) a terrorist organization and its members are terrorists and that they should be killed, a ‘Raajje TV crew has been attacked severely wounded . (Raajje TV is the only channel which brings live coverage of MDP rallies. Ibrahim Waheed (ASWARD), Head of Rajje TV News was attacked while he was driving on his Motorcycle. He was taken to ADK Hospital and now has been flown to Sri Lanka as his injuries were so severe. According to ADK Hospital, Asward had multiple skull fractures and is still unconscious when he was taken away.
If this is not terrorism then what is terrorism. Since Dr. Waheed took over of office, top figures of MDP and its allies have been intimidated by Waheed’s allies. The worst part is that Maldivian Police Service even announced that they would not cooperate with Raaje Tv meaning that they would not protect it and its journalists which is clearly against the law. The case was taken to the court by Raaje Tv and court ruled that Police Service has broken the law and that they should not discriminate journalists. But still police does discriminate Rajje Tv because they show police brutality live on their channel. This is a dangerous situation and International Community should not be silent on this matter. I wonder where are the major news channels including CNN, Wake UP!
