    Danica Patrick Is Top Woman-Finisher Ever at Daytona 500

    This photo-portrait of Danica Patrick looking into my camera was taken by me on Feb. 21, 2012, when Ms. Patrick was the guest of honor at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, the same week she drove in her first Daytona 500. On Feb. 24, 2013, she became the top woman-finisher ever in the Daytona 500, finishing in 8th place in "The Great American Race", The best-previous finish by a woman-driver at Daytona was Janet Guthrie's 11th place in 1980.
