Last Sunday was a gloomy and rainy day and I went to the polls, in my small hometown in the north-east of Italy. There was a sad atmosphere in the air and I wasn't too confident of what I was going to do in the following moments. I went to vote with my sister. As usual I entered the polls and the president asked me to give her my ID. She asked me if I had to ore both for the Chamber of Deputies and for the Senate of the Republic. This questions amazed me, since I handed her my ID and they need to check and verify if I am the right age to vote (which I am). Anyway, I entered the polls and voted. I had my iPhone in my purse. I did not take any picture since it is forbidden by the law, but they should have taken it and keep it secure. My sister went after me, an she was given both election ballots, even though she is not 25 yet and cannot vote for both the Chamber and the Senate. She entered to vote and they called her back asking her if she has already voted...

I mean, I am not really trying to discredit my country but why cannot we give at Lear an impression of credibility? We citizens are not stupid... I went home and had a sushi to forget the sad afternoon.. Let's see what awaits us..
