    Pope is Poignant Pragmatist

     
    Pope Benedict made an extremely poignant & courageous statement that has far reaching theological impetus when he advanced the hypothesis that persons diagnosed with the AID virus,(HIV, human immunodeficiency virus) pose a moral act when they use prophylactics during sexual intercourse copulation in order to prevent venereal infection.That's a gutsy proclamation.I love the guy.He's God's guy and has given his best.He will most justly always have the 'priest abuse scandal' hanging over his head that occurred during his watch and most of his goodness will be interred with his bones just as life will most often treat all of us.But his aforementioned statement will live on and promote a positive pragmatic moral dialogue in the church and the world.Age will never wither his mind nor custom steal his infinite variety.I pray he'll be with us for a while to help shepherd us.Remember,God governs the world but prayer governs God.
