    Mothers day

Mother’s Day is for the special woman in our lives—mom. She may be the guardian of the hearth and home, but it doesn’t mean she has to do the gourmet cooking recipes on her special day.

So for Mother’s Day, take the time to cook for her. She deserves a break and could use the extra time to pamper herself in a salon or spa. While she’s out, gather the rest of the family and whip up a feast that’s worthy of the kitchen queen. If she has taught you some of the family’s heirloom dishes, now is the time to show her your cooking skills. She has taught you well so make her proud. You can also use browse through her treasured recipe book or hand written notebook for tried and tested festive dishes for Mother’s Day with healthy recipes videos.

If your mom appreciates the modern and avant garde, create something new but inspired by something she liked in a restaurant. But make sure it’s not a complicated recipe to ensure that you have something edible after your experiment. The key to choosing your Mother’s Day menu is to work around an ingredient she loves or adopt a theme that reflects her personality and preference. For the sophisticated mom, it’s best to consult your Julia Child cookbooks for recipes like boeuf bourguignon or coq au vin.

For the down-to-earth mom, she’d appreciate a well-made Italian-style pasta and salad or baked garlic chicken. When cooking for Mother’s Day, cook with the heart just like she does. Buy the best quality ingredients you can and be generous with your servings.Don’t forget the wine for that moment when you offer a toast to the best mother in the world. For a fitting finale, bake a layered cake with all the trimmings or a flower-adorned caramel cake your mother will truly appreciate.
