Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi talks about how his Government achieved a good track record of providing jobs at a time of challenges during European financial crisis. Dr. Gonzi said that his Government has and will guarantee a secure future for all Maltese families regardless of their political views. The Nationalist Party (PN) is, after all, working to serve for the Nation's best interest, he said. On March 9, 2013, the Maltese will vote, the margin to win this election is very tied between the Malta Labour Party (PL, in opposition) and Nationalist Party with leader and Prime Minister Dr. Gonzi, who said "we were elected to form the government five years ago and under the PN government, Malta had a good record in a number of sectors; Healthcare, Tourism, Education, Employment etc. The Mass Meetings are organised as a way to boost the morale of PN supporters but it is by no means an indication to election's results, "we have to work harder in the coming two weeks before the polling day", Dr. Gonzi stated. He explained how his Party had invested in Social Media to reach its supporters and potential voters. A number of PN candidates have taken Social Media seriously by dedicating time to interact with their constituency through Facebook and Twitter rather than door to door visits. One of the most active PN candidates in Social Media this campaign has been Dr. Gonzi's younger brother, Dr. Michael Gonzi, who uses Facebook, Twitter and Skype to reach his constituency in two electoral districts, 11 and 12, and it has proven to be effective as his supporters applause such initiative. The Nationalist Party, also, uses its own Social Media platform, http://mychoice.pn to engage supporters and potential voters to express their views, contribute and share ideas. Dr. Lawrence Gonzi, at the end of the interview, stated that this campaign has had the strongest presence of Social Media and he is proud of the standards that were achieved, "it has helped us to remain close to the people and everybody's aspirations.”
