The Opera Ball 2013. The second evening
The surprises of the second evening are waiting to be descoverde by the eyes of the 900 participants. In the hall of the Romanian Opera in Cluj there is a fairy-tale atmosphere: music, games of lights and shadows.
The red velvet carpet is in tone with the depth of elevated feelings you feel when you are here.
This evening there will be awarded the “Citadell’s Seniors”and “Emblem of Cluj”Titles and Medals
The “Citadell’s Seniors” Titles and Medals were to the following 16 laureats by Academician Ionel Haiduc, the President of the Romanian Academy and Academician Ioan Aurel Pop, the youngest member of the Romanian Academy, the Rector of the “Babes-Bolyai” University, thue biggest university in this part of Europe.
The 16 personalities of the Romanian culture and spirituality who received the “Citadell’s Seniors” Titles and Medals are: Prof. Univ. Dr. Dumitru T. Zdrenghea (cardiologist, who founded the Cardiology Clinic from the Recovery Hospital in Cluj), Prof. Univ. Dr. Ovidiu Pascu, Prof. Univ. Dr. Leon Sorin Muntean (former rector of the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Cluj), Horia Badescu (poet, writer, diplomat, one of the founders of TVR Cluj) – he receives this medal on his 70 birthday, prof. Univ. Dr. Ioan Bolovan, Prorector UBB (one of the youngerst prorectors in Romania), Prof. Univ. Dr. Viorica Guy Marica , Prof. Univ. Dr. Constantin Ripa, Dr. Zeno Milea, Remus Campean (one of the legends of Cluj), the mathematician Arpad Paszkany (who i sbeing represented tonight by the television man Ovidiu Uscat), prof. Univ. Dr. Cornel Durgheu (who founded 20 years ago the Art University from Oradea), Prof. Univ. Dr. Ing. Barbu Balan, the Cluj publicist Demostene Sofron, the poet Marcel Muresan, IPS Andrei Andreicut, thue Orthodox Mitropolit of Ardealului and PS Florentin Crihalmeanu, the Bishop of the Greek-Catholic Eparhy of Cluj-Gherla.
Each of the 16 laureats said a few words, and the award of the “Citadell’s Seniors” Titles and Medals” ended with the Greek-Catholic Bishop’s Blessing.
Then followed the ceremony of awarding the “Emblem of Cluj” Medals, handed on the stage of the Romanian Opera in Cluj the the county Prefect, Horia Uiorean. The six laureates were: Remus Campean – the U Cluj football team ‘U cluj is a symbol of Cluj”; Iuliu Muresan – the president of CFR Cluj, Remarul 16 Februarie, ACI Cluj, Dacia Service Feleac and Jolidon.
The evning ended with a extraordinary concert by the “Classis”and a cocktail in the foyer of the National Opera House, while Emanuel Cristea sang hits from the international repertoire. room orchestra
