    35+ Earthquakes Rock Japan

    Already today, after a magnitude 6.2 hit earthquake hit just above the Tokyo area in Ibaraki prefecture, there have been an unprecedented 35 quakes recorded by Japan's Geological Survey! And it's still only 8 in the evening here!

     

    Within a week of Japan's massive M9.0 earthquake on march 11 2011, the daily earthquakes had dipped below 40!  And there haven't been more than 40 a day since then!  At the end of today that will probably change as Japan enters a new region of seismic uncertainty!
