    Meadow Grounds Lake to be Drained

    This lake is a refuge for animals and migrating birds, not to mention home of Bald Eagles.

     

    Money was paid a few years ago to fix dam. Now it seems it is leaking and going to be drained.  Our town did not seem to know this was happening until the Public Opinion in Chambersburg, Pa did a story about it on 2/21/2013. Story Here

     

    Why throw away that money by doing away with the lake? The lake will be drained 2 feet a day starting on 3/4/2013. 

    Not much notice to the residents in the area!
