CNN PRODUCER NOTE Comic book aficionado omekongo told me, 'I do not like "game changing" stories. I wish comic book companies would focus more on making and marketing new characters and story lines. I can still remember the days when I was introduced to characters like Bishop and Night Thrasher after already being a devoted fan of old characters like superman, batman, and Spider-Man. I wish they would come up with new games to change or even newer story lines with the same characters. All of this alternate universe or resetting to #1 stuff is really a turn off for me. The argument that it attracts new fans may be true but if you lose a fan for every new fan you gain, what's the point? There are several comics I became a fan of after they were out for a while and I didn't know anything about them, like Green Arrow. I didn't need to buy the 1st issue to start to appreciate him. It's nonsense to have these "game-changing" story lines. Utter nonsense!' (DC
