As the deadline for sequestration looms it's time to get the real wor k done. What real work can get done in Congress if a bipartisan committee last summer could not agree on cuts and a President''s solution was to suggest such a tiny financial solution that would have to be cut through sequestration it wouldn't dent a piggy bank. Reports in the media and NPR are that the amount of the mandatory Sequestration cuts are about 2% of the Federal debt, that's ike paying down your personal credit card with the minium balance if that.Congress and the President need to cut the pork and unnecessary spending. The President and Executive Branch (Cabinet Departments) spend while congress approves the spending. Our parents & employers may give us a paycheck or allowance, but it's our personal responsibility as our own executive to spend it or SAVE IT! The sky is not falling Mr. President, stop acting like it is. Sequestration was your idea according the the media, you should have proposed tougher cuts. We as Americans are free to pursue life, liberty and happiness, but that doesn't entitle us to getting them for free. We are not entitled to a free ride the President wnats to give everyone without thought aobut the cost to the nation's economy. Do with the country what we all should do with our family- Stop errant spending, save, pay for needs and an occasional want, not every want we feel entitled to, but can't afford, and live BELOW our means! President stop scaring us and Congress start to compromise. If we don't we won't be kcking gthe can down the road or across it at each other, we'll be eating soup from a can at a soup kitchen. A country standing in line at a soup kitchen is no way to live in the USA. We are better than that, we should be donating to soup kitchens and the like with 10% or mor of our income not spending our country into debt.
