A man who had held an elderly woman and a teenage boy hostage. The boy had managed to escape and notify police and so far no injuries. The man is armed and has threatened to kill himself. He had suffered an anuerysm and survived, but developed a drug habit and as a result had tied the boy's grandmother and forced her to give him money for his habit. He had also planned to hold his wife hostage, but because of the boy escaping, that situation was averted. What you are to see are a series of videos taken by my cell phone at the corner of Delaware Avenue and Stewart Street in the city of Santa Monica, California west of Los Angeles, the same town where the day before, members of the Westboro Baptist Church had protested the local high school's policies towards teaching acceptance and tolerance towards gays, lesbians, and transgendered individuals.
