    Paraw Regatta Festival 2013

    Now on its 41st year, Paraw Regatta Festival or Iloilo Paraw Regatta Festival is an annual festival held on February in Arevalo, Iloilo City. It's main event is a sailboat race in Iloilo Strait that features the Paraw, a Visayan double outrigger sail boat.

     

    It is the oldest traditional craft event in Asia, and the largest sailing event in the Philippines.

     

    Aside from the Paraw Competition, the Pinta Tawo Competition is a body painting contest that celebrates the human skin as a perfect venue to showcase art. Other side events Mini-Paraw Painting Competition, Samba Reggatta and fishing competition.
