    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     objectiva3 says thousands of protesters gathered at the center of Lisbon in the Avenue of Liberty, on March 2, to protest austerity measures. She says protesters were peaceful and orderly. 'They were singing protest songs like "Grândola Vila Morena," which was the symbol of the revolution of April 25,' she said. She says many people in Portugal are tired of the economic conditions of the country. 'In Portugal, the unemployment rate among young people is brutal and the lack of jobs makes many of them emigrate,' she said. 'Poverty exists in every corner.'

    A manifestation was organized by civil society to protest against Troika and the austerity in Portugal.

     


    Today , 2th March, in Lisbon, around 800 thousand of people were present from 8 to 80 years, against the policy of the government.
