    Flooding in Brooks and lowndes county Georgia

    I am ireporter Kevin Luke from Valdosta Georgia filming on banks of the withlacoochee river 10 miles west of Valdosta 2 miles down river from the hwy 84 bridge at the lowndes county and brooks county line. We are experiencing record flooding at almost 20 feet above the flood stage which is 13 feet on the withlacoochee river. Last recording at this time 3-1-13 around 4:00pm, the river was at 31.2 feet high!!! At the grace of God my cabin was spared by 2 inches before being flooded. Many river houses and cabins are flooded up and down this river currently. We believe it is cresting right now during video and is actually starting to drop around 4:00 pm 3-1-13 friday from observing a one half inch drop during our filming..
