It was a warm summers evening in St Paul MN. We were just about to go to bed when I looked out the front door and there was a river of water running down the street. No rain no floods just a river of water about 3 feet deep. I got dressed and ran outside, and apparently there were four wheel drive trucks taking advantage of this. They were driving up and down the street. The police arrived and shoo'ed everyone off the street. I was watching the police car when all of a sudden it dissapears. It had fell into a sinkhole created by a watermain breakage. I was right across the street. It was 2 women patrol officers and they couldn't get their doors open in the water. The squad car was tottally underwater. I was able toget the drivers side door open and we swam to safety. This is a picture of the squad car after they drained the water out of the sinkhole. The lights were flashing while it was underwater. We all got lucky that day
