    Meeting Mickey Mouse

I had never been to Walt Disney World and have always dreamed of going. Every time a commercial came on showing"Cinderella's Castle" and Tinkerbell I would get so excited because I would close my eyes and pretend I was there. Well my husband decided to surprise me for my 50th birthday and booked tickets to Disney World. I remember the night before our plane was to leave, I was so excited, nervous (I hate flying) I could hardly sleep. We got on the plane and off we went. During the flight I was ready to jump out of my seat with excitement. I felt like I was 10 years old! I grew up with Mickey, Minnie, Goofey, Chip n Dale, Cinderella, Tinkerbell all the characters and I thought wow, is this really happening? We landed in Orlando and took a shuttle to our hotel. We stayed at Disney Pop, and what a blast that was, and the room was great! Everyone was so nice and helpful, I couldn't get over it. Anyway, we eat breakfast and get on the shuttle to go over to the park. I'm like a kid, fidgeting in my seat, looking everywhere, butterflies in my stomach. I tell you I couldn't wait to get to the park. We get in line, go through the gate and the first thing I saw to my right was guess who? Yep, my wish came true! There in the flesh was Mickey and Minnie and they were greeting small children. My husband said he couldn't keep a straight face when he saw my reaction. Well all of a sudden I made this mad dash towards Mickey and Minnie. I had tunnel vision, I couldn't see anything or anyone else except Mickey and Minnie. They just so happened to just end their time with the kids, so it was my lucky day. It seemed like it took forever to get over there, but in reality it only took a few minutes. I ran over to Mickey and threw my arms around him and started crying. Do you know what I said, "Oh Mickey, I've waited my whole life to see you!" I got the biggest and warmest hug and tears were streaming down my face. I could hardly contain myself, I thought that I was dreaming! After finally settling down and wiping the tears from my eyes, I walked back to my husband who had witnessed this whole scene. I went up to my beautiful husband Edgar tears still flowing like Niagara Falls and gave him the biggest kiss and hug and said thank you, you made my dream come true. He just gave me a huge kiss and off we went to the rest of the park. We stayed for an entire week, and I think that it was the best vacation I ever had. My dream came true!
