March in Moscow in defence of children, March 2, 2013

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter elvistudio captured these images of pro-Kremlin activists marching in support of a ban on American adoptions of Russian children. Many were bearing placards sporting slogans such as "America -- hands off our children," and "No selling children," he said. Local press reports said up to 12,000 people attended the march, which follows the controversial signing of an anti-U.S. adoption law by Russian President Vladimir Putin in December. The U.S. State Department had called the move "politically motivated", while Russia said the move was to protect children.

Pro-Kremlin activists march in defence of children and support of ban an adoptions in US and other countries took place in central Moscow.

According to the press it was about 10,000-12,000 people on this event. Participants were chanting when and what the leader of the group was telling them to chant. They were saying 'Let there be no Russia with orphans', 'Return Kirill Kuzmin back to the motherland', 'No Finnish and American chasteners!', 'Our children are not goods'.
The transaltions from the posters: 'No selling children', 'Russia, do not loose your future!', 'Children of Russia are russian children', 'America, hands off of our children!', 'Children - our future', 'Good bye, America!', 'Motherland starts with Mother', 'Our children - our happiness', 'USA is killing our children', 'USA is country of sadists', 'Norway, return Misha Bergset to his mother!'.
There were many young people among demonstrants, many of them were laughing and I saw that they were not serious about this event. The last two days in the news many people say that they were paid to participate in this march. And I saw video from russian activist asking different people the same question - Why are you here? You are carrying the flag of 'such-and-such' party with you - what are the goals of your party? - and they couldn't answer. Looks like many of these 10,000 participants were not really into the meaning of this march.
Personally I don't agree with adoption ban, but I would like adoption to be more controlled.
