Weekends In America: Binghamton, New York
Binghamton, New York located in Upstate New York between New York City and Syracuse. First shot is of the State Office Building and downtown business district. First Friday of every month Binghamton Art Community and the local business community celebrate First Friday with an art walk that covers a wide area of Binghamton. Many businesses cater to the art crowd, showing many artists work in their businesses and eateries. Live music of all genres can be found throughout the art walk. Many local galleries also show artists work and have Meet and Greets as well. Second picture is of the South Washington Street Bridge in downtown Binghamton as well. This bridge is the home every September, to the Blues On The Bridge concert. Which is usually an all day event of music, from blues to rock to many other types of music, local and national acts come and play at this event. This particular picture was taken under the bridge on a very cold, winter day, with lots of blues and reflection under the bridge. Binghamton has a lot of beauty to this small town, a lot of historical architecture and history. Third picture, is of a reflection outside of the Cooperative Art Gallery in downtown Binghamton, part of the art walk, it is also where I showcase my photography. All three pictures are my original work. SUNY Binghamton is also a very high rated 4 year college and great place to achieve and education. There are a lot of things to even in the wintertime on the weekends in Binghamton, plus it is only a 60 minute drive to Syracuse or 3 hours to New York City.
