    A Bit of New Orleans

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     JohnMcGraw and his girlfriend, Diane, traveled to New Orleans last week and little did she know, it would be a trip to remember. He proposed to her right in Jackson Square. 'It was a very romantic spot, that neither one of us had been to before. I proposed right when we got into town, and then we spent the next couple days seeing the city,' he said. Congrats to the happy couple!

    This week my then Girlfriend and I took a trip to New Orleans. When we pulled into town the first place we went was Jackson Square. As we sat there I set up my camera as I usually do. I told her I needed her to sit down on the bench so I could set up a shot. Then I started to record video and I got down on one knee and proposed, she said yes, and that started our fantastic 3 days in the French Quarter.

     

    The photos here are from our adventures around the city, from Jackson Square, Bourbon Street, St Louis Cemetery 2 to Café Du Monde.

     

    If you ever get a chance to head to the French Quarter – do it! It is one of those places that for us lived up to the hype.
