    First Chinese New Year parade in Paris

     
    Chinese New Year is becoming more popular every year in Paris. This year, the Chinese Diaspora in Paris had celebrating the new year in the Chinese calendar for 2013 on February 10. The most colorful event of the festival is a festive parade. This bright, colorful spectacle with paper figures, beautifully dressed people, dancers and acrobats.

    Chinese New Year is unthinkable without lanterns, firecrackers and
    fireworks.The parade was held at 14.00 with an opening ceremony at the Dragon Eye Place de Hotel De Ville. This is the area in front of town hall in the 4th arrondissement of Paris. The ceremony was accompanied by a dragon and lion dance, in honor of the first day of the Chinese New Year calendar - year water snakes. Throughout the following week, the 3rd and 4th districts of Paris will host a series of festive and cultural events dedicated to the New Year. Among them, the exhibition of Chinese artists, national demonstration of martial arts in China, a concert of young Chinese musicians, etc.
