CNN PRODUCER NOTE     joshuans has been teaching special education at an elementary school in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for four years. He says that budget cuts have already affected him in the past – his school cut one special education position and a teaching position, forcing him and other teachers to work only four days a week.

But, since something has to be cut, here’s what he had to say: 'If I had to cut something from education, I would prioritize the importance of certain types of higher education degrees and cut funding from the degree programs that were of less importance. These kinds of cuts could be made on a state level as well,' he said.
