- zdan, CNN iReport producer
According to the National Education Association (NEA), Louisiana will lose an estimated 9.6 million dollars in special education grants affecting 3,640 students while cutting 151 jobs.
Special education teachers and support staff are already stretched far to thin to absorb 151 job losses. And our students' academic performance cannot afford to lose the approximately 6,000 hours that these staff member spend with students, per week.
Cut an F-35, save thousands of teachers. We actually work.
