Yankee Stadium's last at bat |
Pilgrimage to the Bronx
My dad attended his first Yankee game in 1953 when he was 13 years old. I always wanted to go to see a game at Yankee Stadium. My dad and I decided to drive from North Carolina to Yankee Stadium for the September 18th game against the Chicago White Sox. They won 9 to 2. I was always a Derek Jeter fan, and it was neat to see how much New York was a Derek Jeter fan. He truely has a special place in the heart of the Yankees. This is a special place, visibly not the most up to date facility, but it clearly carries so much tradition with the fans of New York. We were really glad we made the trip.
