    "Pi" award winner German newspaper Tagesspiegel

     

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     zebrapony and six artist friends in Berlin made a version of the Oscar Award-winning film "Life of Pi" using wire, cardboard, paper and marionettes. The short film won a contest by Berlin newspaper Tagesspiegel. iReporter Michael Schröer was the film's editor and sound director. He said the rules required they imitate a famous film in 90 seconds without showing the original title. See a behind-the-scenes video here.
