THIS PAST WEEK WE CONFIRMED THE CITY ORDINANCE THAT MAKES HOMEOWNERS RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE DONE TO CURBS AND SIDEWALKS. WE DISCOVERED SOME LATE NEWS ABOUT INFORMATION BEING SPREAD THROUGH TOWN IN AN EFFORT TO CONFUSE, MISLEAD, AND CREATE HALF TRUTHS FOR CITIZENS. SOME SENIORS DON'T HAVE COMPUTERS, THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO READ OR SEE WHAT IS POSTED ON THE INTERNET, SPECIFICALLY THE "MULLAN RECALL" SITE ON FACEBOOK. WE WILL BE GOING OUT TO HELP PEOPLE KNOW THE TRUTH. A MEMBER OF THE COALITION FOR CONCERNED CITIZENS WILL BE SITTING IN ON THE RECALL VOTE THE ENTIRE DURATION OF THE VOTE, 12 HOURS. WE WILL KNOW THE OUTCOME WHEN THE FINAL VOTE IS COUNTED. IN IDAHO THE STATUTE FOR RECALL DOES NOT REQUIRE A REASON FOR REMOVING PUBLIC OFFICIALS. WE PROVIDED A FEW REASON JUST TO HELP PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THE ISSUES...WE COULD HAVE WRITTEN A 10 PAGES THESIS AFTER COLLECTION AND COMMUNICATING WITH THE CITIZENS IN THE COMMUNITY.
